Request a quote See the sailcloth marquee rangeNew Zealand wineries, wedding venues and hire companies get the same Dutch-made Qtents sailcloth marquees we supply to Australia, shipped crated from Rotterdam to Auckland. The difference is the calendar: the sea leg to New Zealand is roughly twice as long as to Melbourne, so we plan it properly rather than optimistically.
A sailcloth marquee is the structure clients photograph. The translucent canvas glows at dusk, the timber poles and radiating seams read as craft rather than kit, and a 14 x 32 m roof seats a wedding of 200 with a dance floor to spare. For a hire fleet it is the highest-margin line you can own; for a venue it is a permanent-feeling space that packs away for the off-season.
Who buys from us in New Zealand: Hire companies in Auckland, Christchurch and Queenstown, wineries and wedding venues in Marlborough, Hawke’s Bay and Central Otago, and event producers who want a structure their competitors do not have.
Not sure which structure suits the job? Compare it with our stretch tents for New Zealand, or ask us to design a tent to measure.
Majestic Marquees event tent installation
Full specifications, sizes and seating capacities are on the sailcloth marquee page. Every tent is manufactured by Qtents in Waalwijk, the Netherlands, and supplied by Majestic Marquees & Tents as the dealer for Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.
This is how an order actually runs, so you can plan around it instead of around a brochure promise.
We are a sales organisation, not a hire company competing with you for the same weddings. We supply the structure, the spares and the knowledge of how to rig it, and we stay out of your market.
Every tent is engineered and made in the Netherlands by Qtents, a manufacturer that has been building sailcloth and stretch canvas for European hire fleets for years. We buy at dealer terms and sell direct, so the price you see has one margin in it, not two.
Our base is in Bali, in the same time zone as your business, and we ship crated for a 20 ft container as standard. Watch what we do in sixty seconds, or look through real installations in the gallery.
Longer than Australia. Production is roughly eight weeks and the sea leg to Auckland is ten to twelve weeks. We add a buffer on top because carriers slip. Three to four months from deposit to delivery is the honest planning figure.
Timber poles and timber packing are subject to New Zealand biosecurity clearance. We prepare the shipment with our forwarder to meet those requirements and walk you through the documentation before you order.
Yes. Auckland is the standard port; Lyttelton or Port Chalmers can be quoted, or we land in Auckland and arrange road freight south.
Fabric fire-retardancy certificates and the NEN-EN 8020-41:2012 structure documentation come with the tent and are available on request before you order.
Yes. Replacement canvas, sidewalls, poles, rigging and anchors are available for the life of the tent.
